HEC Management School – University of Liege
The HEC Management School - University of Liege (HEC-Ecole de Gestion de l’Université de Liège, HEC-ULg) supports e-learning through both Lol@ and My ULg. Through its Campus Virtuel en Gestion (CVG) it also offers e-learning or blended learning with the CMS Joomla.
HEC Management School - University of Liege is a university faculty from the University of Liege (ULg), the result of a synergy between a public university (the University of Liege) and a private college of higher education (HEC - Haute Ecole de Commerce).
HEC-ULg’s missions are both to improve the managing and economic skills present within companies and organisations and to provide them with managers and entrepreneurs having a first-rate command of modern management concepts, practices and tools. HEC-ULg thus develops undergraduate and postgraduate training as well as research activities, while promoting those human values, behaviours and attitudes that are essential in managers: a global view of the international environment, a sense of responsibility, team spirit, ethics, value creation, solidarity, initiative and creativity.
The institution’s main office is in Liege, Belgium and its two campuses are located there as well.
The HEI enrolls about 2,500 students.

Under “Portal for Students” it links to both My ULg, the ULg intranet, and LOl@, the virtual campus that HEC-ULg developed. It is an interactive interface between the lecturer and his/her audience. Once students have received their ULg registration number and password*, they can register for each course they are interested in available on the virtual campus. The lecturer will contact students directly and provide them with all useful information related to his/her course (agenda, group assignments, powerpoint slide shows, etc.). Contact with the other students registered in the course is also possible. It offers podcasts, valves and has its own helpdesk.
Together with 2 other Business Schools (Solvay and Louvain School of Management - Campus Louvain-la-Neuve (LSM)) HEC-ULg established the Campus Virtuel en Gestion (CVG), which is based on the CMS Joomla, and enables the students to share resources & create remote courses. The Campus now offers 1 Online Executive Master in Management that supports blended learning: face-to-face meetings are possible besides distance learning.
