The University College Arteveldehogeschool (Arteveldehogeschool) supports e-learning through its LMS DILEAH and collaborative tools in Q-port.


The university college Arteveldehogeschool is a Catholic institute for higher education, established on 31 December 2000.

University College Arteveldehogeschool focuses on offering study programmes in the fields of teacher training, economic and graphic education, health care and social work.

This university college is part of the Ghent University Association.

The institution’s main office is in Gent, Belgium. Other campuses are located in the city of Gent.


Artevelde Hogeschool enrolls about 9 000 students and employs about 980 staff.

It supports e-learning through its LMS Dokeos, which Artevelde hogeschool calls DILEAHS. It also offers Sakai to its instructors and students through Q-port: Sakai is a set of software tools designed to help instructors, researchers, and students create websites for collaboration. Using a web browser, users choose from a set of features to create a site that meets their needs.


From 2009 the learning account came into effect: a ‘virtual backpack with credits’ in which students can view their study progress with enrolments and results. The learning account is at the [www.studentenportaal.be student portal]
