St. Petersburg College (SPC) supports fully online courses through its eCampus. eCampus is SPC’s distance learning programme. Over 20,000 students throughout the US and world enrol in eCampus courses each year.
St. Petersburg College is a purely commuter college and has no resident-students.
As of 2007, of the 65,000 students enrolled in the institution, 36,000 were enrolled in degree seeking programs; while 26,000 were non-degree seeking students. Average student enrollment age is between 20-24. (See SPC - just the facts for more information.)
The institution currently manages nine separate campuses located throughout Pinellas County, Florida, US; four campuses within the city of St. Petersburg, Florida, and five additional campuses in the state. The College was founded in 1927 as a private community college and was Florida's first two-year institution of higher learning. Today it is a public institution.
