The Virtual European Banking School (VEBS) was selected in 2004 under the Socrates Minerva project. As noted on the VEBS web site:

VEBS builds on the belief that an innovative demand-oriented elearning model in the banking sector, what may be called a 'virtual European banking school', involving EU member countries, accession and candidate countries, would contribute to the strengthening of the European integration process, by enhancing the potential of human resources according to a lifelong learning perspective.

The VEBS web site is at http://zope.reu.pub.ro/vebs
