Original title

OERContent.NRW Funding Line

Description

$ Goals of the funding line > With the funding program "OERContent.nrw", the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Digital University of North Rhine-Westphalia would like to promote the cross-university production and use of digital teaching/learning offers for the state portal DH-NRW as part of the state-wide digitization offensive.

  1. Eligible projects

> In this funding line, cross-university and quality-assured projects can be funded which develop subject- and/or study-course-specific digital teaching/learning offers or courses and post them in the state portal DH-NRW. The focus will be on the development of modular, needs-based, combinable and as adaptive as possible digital teaching/learning offerings and/or course units that are curricularly secured at the participating universities.

  1. Licensing

> All digital teaching/learning offers arising within the framework of this funding line must be placed under the licence "CC BY-SA 4.0", "CC BY 4.0" or "CC 0" in the OER area and in the area for students of the state portal DH-NRW.

  1. Scope of funding

> A total of five million euros will be available for the funding line for the entire duration. The amount of funding depends on the requirements of the respective application within the framework of the available funds. The maximum funding per project is 500,000 euros for a maximum funding period of two years. The maximum funding increases to 1.5 million euros if digital teaching/learning offers or courses are developed in which at least six universities commit themselves to a curricular crediting as an alternative to an attendance offer and submit a concept for the provision of credit points at the time of application. The Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Digitale Hochschule NRW intend to launch two further calls for funding in summer 2020 and 2021 respectively.

  1. Duration
  • The funding can begin between 1 March 2020 and 31 May 2020.
  • The maximum funding period is two years.
  • Application deadline: 30 November 2019
