Mississippi is a state in the southern United States. It borders Tennessee to the north, Alabama to the east, on the Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico to the south and the Mississippi River, Louisiana and Arkansas to the west
The population as of 2010 is 2.9 million.
The state capital and largest city is Jackson.
Mississippi is known as the Magnolia State and also the Hospitality State.
