The Chicago Virtual Charter School (CVCS) is a full-time, tuition-free public charter school located in the US state of Illinois. It offers a blend of traditional schooling and online learning, in the sense that students are required to spend one day a week in a physical school building. Learning is provide for grades K-12, via the private partner K12 Inc.. Books, materials, and loaner computer systems are provided as needed (although grades 9-12 are taught entirely online). CVCS awards diplomas directly.

CVCS expects that younger students will spend no more than 20-30% of their time on the computer, while higher-level students may work entirely online.
