At present Martine Vidal is “Chargée de mission” (advisor) for Research and Distance Education to the Rector - General manager of the Centre National d’Enseignement à Distance (Cned, www.cned.fr), and chief editor of a scientific journal on distance learning, Distances et Savoirs, http://ds.revuesonline.com, now in its sixth year. She has coordinated several European or international activities lately such as a special call for papers involving 6 scientific journals in the world www.distanceandaccesstoeducation.org, or the European project EduContact www.educontact.eu. In recent years she has carried expertises for several IST Framework Programme as well as for the Education and training direction.

Mrs. Vidal also one of the two Vice Presidents of EDEN (European Distance and E-learning Network) www.eden-online.org .
