Fred Litto

Professor Fred Litto (Fredric Litto, Fredric Michael Litto) recently retired as Professor of Communication of the University of São Paulo, where he served since 1971.

Founder and Scientific Coordinador of the “School of the Future” of that University since 1989, he continues in that function,

He has also served since 1995 as President of ABED, the Brazilian Association for Distance Education.

He is a member of the editorial boards of Education, Communication & Information (UK), the International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning (IRRODL) (Canadá), the American Journal of Distance Education (USA), and the International Journal for Advanced Technology in Learning (USA).

In 2003 and 2004 he was a consultant for distance education projects for the World Bank and the Commonwealth of Learning - including in Mozambique.
