The League of European Research Universities virtual campus (e-LERU) was selected in 2004 under the Erasmus Virtual Campuses programme. It was funded from 2005-2007.

The e-LERU virtual campus is an initiative of eight European universities, all members of the League of European Research Universities. Its objective is to share teaching and learning experiences at the European level, by collaborating on the development of a pool of e-learning modules in a virtual campus.

LERU offer E-modules, are courses that are taught by one or several teachers from the e-LERU partner universities through blended or online learning activities. The digitalization of the courses may differ, depending where took place the course (university) and the availability tools in the meant university.

The e-LERU web site is at http://www.eleru.leru.org/
