University of the West Indies

The University of the West Indies (UWI) is an autonomous regional institution supported by and serving 16 English-speaking countries and territories in the Caribbean, all members of the Commonwealth of Nations. The aim of the university is to help 'unlock the potential for economic and cultural growth' in the West Indies.
UWI has campuses in Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad, and 12 learning centres in the other contributing countries (known as the Open Campus). The university has a total enrolment of over 39,000 students at the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The 16 UWI member states are: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Turks and Caicos.
