The University del Salvador (Universidad del Salvador, USAL) is located in Buenos Aires, Argentina founded in 1956, as a private university.

The virtual campus of the university was born in 1996 because of the necessity of share and disseminate the courses and degrees in distance methods to cover the needs of the Argentinean society, they were offering these courses in face to face teaching method. This university has more than 16,000 students, but they don’t mention how many of them are studying via distance learning. The 87% are studying degrees.

At this moment they offer distance workshops (16), degrees (7), post degree (6), and others.

It’s member of several organizations and has many agreements with other universities, such as:

  • IAU
  • ISEP
  • 17 Argentinean universities.
