The Académie universitaire ‘Louvain’ is the association in Wallonia that gathers the following universities:

  1. Facultés Universitaires Catholiques de Mons (FUCaM) in Mons
  2. Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix (FUNDP) in Namur
  3. Facultés universitaires Saint-Louis (FUSL) in Brussels
  4. Université catholique de Louvain (UCL) in Louvain-la-Neuve and Brussels

The Académie universitaire ‘Louvain’ associates universities of different sizes and different locations, respecting the identity and distinctive character of each partner. Its ambition is to gather together almost half of all students from the Belgian French-speaking university community, to find and develop synergies with the Brussels university community and to promote respect for human rights; to cultivate openness and critical thinking; to reflect a Christian and humanist tradition within a multi-cultural society.

The institution’s rectorat is in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.

The Académie universitaire Louvain web site is at http://www.academielouvain.be and is in English and French.
