At the tme of its funding, BAZAAR members sought to develop and support a community for teachers and trainers. The project would enable the development, creation and exchange of e-learning materials. Its "web presence" (http://www.bazaar.org) accompanied seminars to support end-users. The original Erasmus project  description noted:
