Uttarakhand is a state in northern India. It borders Tibet to the north, Nepal to the east, Uttar Pradesh to the south, Haryana to the west and Himachal Pradesh to the north west.
The 2011 census records a population of 10.1 million across 13 districts. The state capital and largest city is Dehradun.
