Texas is a state in the south-central region of the United States. It borders Oklahoma to the north, Arkansas to the north-east, Louisiana to the east, Mexico to the south, and New Mexico to the west.

The largest contiguous US states by area, and second largest overall, Texas has a population of more than 25 million people, as of 2010. The state capital is Austin, and largest city is Houston. Texas is known as the Lone Star state.

Virtual schools in Texas
