The Kaplan Academy of California (KAC) offers a tuition-free "alternative to traditional high school education", for students in grades 6-12 who are 19 or under and are living near certain counties located in the US state of California.
In 2008-2009 there were 196 students enrolled.
Kaplan is a private company which has been offering online education since 2001.
