The Chignecto Central Virtual School (CCVS) has been developed as a response to the challenges faced by schools serving Nova Scotia's rural communities. Establishing viable student cohorts for many subjects (particularly, but not solely, special interest courses) at upper high school is often difficult. The school has used Moodle and the video conferencing system Marratech.
