K.U.Leuven is a Catholic University in Belgium, the oldest extant Catholic university in the world and the oldest university in the Low Countries. To comprehend its size: in the academic year 2005-2006 30,442 students and 3,770 international students were registered in the K.U.Leuven. As stated on the web site "K.U.Leuven fulfils its mission by providing high-quality interdisciplinary research and education with a Catholic signature".
