The European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) is an international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. EQUIS is operated by the Quality Services Department of EFMD. EFMD is the Management Development Network, an international membership organization, based in Brussels, Belgium.


EQUIS is not primarily focused on the MBA or any other specific programme. Its scope covers all programmes offered by an institution from the first degree up to the Ph.D.


The objective of EQUIS, linked to the mission of EFMD, is to raise the standard of management education worldwide.


An an indication of the total fee, we list here Fee Schedule for EQUIS - As of 1st January 2008:

The total fee for the EQUIS process is 37.050€ (5-year accreditation); 31.350€ (3-year accreditation) or 22.800€ (non-accreditation) for new applications submitted between 1 January 2009 and 31 December 2009 or for accredited schools starting the re-accreditation process between 1 January 2009 and 31 December 2009. Plus of course the (re-) accreditations, according to the web page concerning this fee schedule.
