The University of Southern Maine (USM) is a multi-campus public university and part of the University of Maine System in Maine, USA. USM's three primary campuses are located in Portland, Gorham, and Lewiston, Maine.
Distance education courses are available through several off-campus centers; the primary Portland, Gorham, and Lewiston-Auburn campuses; and other sites around the state. Some are broadcast via instructional television (ITV: two-way audio and one-way video); others are delivered via or videoconferencing (VC: two-way audio and video). Online courses are available as well; these may be totally asynchronous or blended (using Blackboard, Elluminate, and blended face-to-face sessions).
Information about online learning provision at USM is at http://www.usm.maine.edu/eap/profed/online.html
