Idaho is a state in the north-western United States. It borders the province of British Columbia in Canada to the north, Montana to the north-east, Wyoming to the east, Utah and Nevada to the south, and Oregon and Washington to the west.
The 2010 census records a population of 1.5 million. The state capital and largest city is Boise. Idaho is known as the Gem State.
