Montana is a western state of the United States. It borders to the north three Canadian provinces: British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, to the east North Dakota and South Dakota, to the south Wyoming, and to the west and south-west Idaho.
It is the fourth largest US state, but has the third lowest population density, 989,415 as of 2010.
The state capital is Helena.
