Vermont is a state in the New England region of the north-eastern United States. It borders the Canadian province of Quebec to the north, New Hampshire to the east, Massachusetts to the south and New York to the west.
The population of Vermont is 625,741 as of 2010. The state capital is Montpelier and its largest city is Burlington. Vermont is known as the Green Mountain State.
