The Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA) is a full-time, tuition-free online public school option offering courses for students in grades K-12. It is located in the US state of Ohio. OHVA has partnered with the private K12 Inc for course provision. Learning takes place completely online.
Founded in 2002, it had 8,115 students during the 2009-2010 school year.
Students will spend no more than 20-25 percent of their time on the computer in the early grades, and more as they increase levels.
The Ohio Virtual Academy web site is at http://www.k12.com/ohva/
More Details
Throughout the year, students are invited to participate in school outings, field trips (e.g., to historical sites, museums, zoos), picnics, and other social events.
