- The Louisiana Virtual School is a US state virtual school founded in 2000
- Works with 78 school districts; as with most state virtual schools, all students enroll in LVS through their own school
- 14,000 course enrollments in 2009-10, representing 27% growth over 2008-09
- Grown from 130 students in 2000-01 to 5,789 students in 2009-10
- Despite record growth, for 2010-11 the total budget was reduced significantly
