Southern Cross University (SCU) is the seventh largest distance education provider in Australia, with more than 6,000 students studying remotely.

Southern Cross University's primary campus is in Lismore, Australia, with other campuses located at Coffs Harbour and Tweed Heads. Southern Cross itself was established in 1994, following the decentralisation of the network of the University of New England, Australia, as a multi-campus university. SCU now has roughly 14,000 undergraduates and 3,700 postgraduates.
