Association of Latin American Universities (Asociación de Universidades Latinoamericanas, AULA).
Its aims and purposes are:
- Disseminate and coordinate the creation and development of an expanded space of higher learning in virtual environments and the construction of new educational tools and scenarios in the context of Latin American cultural identity.
- Reach cooperation among public universities, public agencies, companies, associations and individuals in an "open community".
- Develop "free knowledge" through a shared Campus.
- Promote R & D through the integration and complementarity of research groups.
- To support, enhance and improve technology transfer.
- Disseminate and share knowledge through the publications and ensuring the dissemination of those encouraging open access.
