The ''Africa University Virtual Classroom'' was born in 1992 as the first private intenational university in Zimbabwe, it was created by churches, and it is founded by them.

This university offer blended studies in collaboration with WIPO Worldwide Academy, African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO), for example the master degree of intellectual property, the first part of the master is taught via distance learning, the other 2 parts will be taught in the university and in the headquarters of ARIPO to practise. They also offer two more online courses Executive Masters Degree in Business Administration(EMBA) and English as a Second Language (ESL) at Mozambique Satellite Campus.
