''Nick Jeans'' is a Consultant at Sero, currently working on country/region studies for VISCED with current responsibility for Anglophone Africa. He has 22 years' experience of teaching and 10 years of training teachers. He is Lead Assessor of the CMALT scheme (an award that recognises effective use of Learning Technology), an accredited trainer for JISC TechDis (on accessibility) and a member of JISC's Learning and Teaching Practice Experts Group. | |||
In 2005-08 he was Content Development Team Manager for the South Yorkshire E Learning Programme, leading a team of learning technologists, working with teachers to produce and use e-learning resources in all subjects through e-sy.info, a Virtual Learning Environment available to learners in the South Yorkshire area across 72 Secondary schools, 7 Further Education colleges and 450 businesses. | |||
During the bid phase for POERUP he researched and provided links to the most relevant large-scale OER initiatives worldwide. | |||
