At the same time Junior College aspires to be a platform where students, teachers and university teachers with similar interests around substantive themes or subjects find each other and share knowledge. Junior College is a cooperation between K.U.Leuven and more than 70 secondary schools in Flanders, reaching almost 3000 students in the target group. The aim of this initiative is to bridge the gap between secondary schools and university by bringing high standard science into the classrooms of motivated and talented last year secondary education students. Junior College has proven to be of positive influence on students’ decision making process entering higher education.
