Colorado is a state in the western and mountain regions of the United States. It borders Wyoming to the north, Nebraska and Kansas to the northeast and east, New Mexico and Oklahoma to the south, and Utah to the west.
The 2010 census records a population of 5 million. The state capital and largest city is Denver. Colorado is known as The Centennial State, and is well known for its magnificent scenery of mountains, rivers and plains. Residents of Colorado are properly known as "Coloradans", although the archaic term "Coloradoan" is still used.
