A tuition-free online school, it is located in the US state of California. It serves students in five California counties. Parents or guardians serve as learning coaches, guiding students through home-based, fully online learning.

In 2009-2010, there were 152 students enrolled, 40% of whom were identified as "socionominally disadvantaged".
