This university was called the Technical University in Gdańsk from 1904-1945, after which it became "Politechnika Gdanska" (in 1945), what we call today "Gdansk University of Technology".

As mentioned in the [http://static.pg.gda.pl/temp/files/en/rules.pdf university's rules (PDF)], a full-time student is entitled to study free of charge for the term specified in the plan of studies, which does not apply to any courses repeated due to unsatisfactory results. The part-time student pays the tuition and other fees over the term specified in the plan of
studies.
