The Wyoming Distance Education Consortium (WyDEC) supports distance education for institutions in the state of Wyoming, US.
As noted on their web site, WyDEC was formed to foster cooperation and coordination of distance education opportunities among the seven community colleges of Wyoming, US, the University of Wyoming, and Wyoming Public Television. WyDEC also endeavors to benefit the citizens of Wyoming by coordinating distance education opportunities which are cost-effective and innovative.
WyDEC members cooperate to increase the number and quality of distance class and degree offerings and student services to each of their student bodies -- such that a student admitted to any of the member colleges will be able to complete their educational goals in a timely manner regardless of geographic or temporal limitations.
Courses are delivered via Interactive (compressed) TV, broadcast telecourses, internet, web conferences, and audio teleconferences. Participants offering degrees are:
- Casper College
- Central Wyoming College
- Eastern Wyoming College
- Laramie County Community College
- Northern Wyoming Community College District
- Northwest College
- University of Wyoming
- Western Wyoming Community College
