The SUNY Learning Network (SLN) supports online courses and online degree programmes through the State University of New York (SUNY), US.
The programme offers more than 80 online degree programmes, including associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Certificate programmes are offered as well. Purely online, hybrid and face-to-face courses are available.
As noted on the SLN web site:
- The SUNY Learning Network (SLN) was established to increase access to SUNY's academic programs and maintain consistently high-quality online pedagogy.
- SLN is not a degree-granting institution - but SLN provides access to online learning opportunities statewide at SUNY Institutions. Your degree, or certificate, or any course credit you receive, will be from a New York State SUNY campus, and you must register with that campus to sign up for online courses.
According to the SLN web site, since 1995, thousands of students have taken online courses and/or worked toward online degrees through the SUNY Learning Network.
The SUNY Learning Network offers not just administration, but hands-on e-learning management as well, e.g.:
- The ANGEL Learning Management Software
- Professional development for participating faculty
- Technology hosting, management, development, and maintenance on SUNY-wide servers
The SLN main office is in Albany, New York, US. The SUNY system has manifold other campuses; see SUNY on Wikipedia for more information.
