He was involved with the formation of the eLearning Industry Group [http://www.elig.org/ eLIG], a consortium of companies across Europe which, amongst other things, is working to assist the acceleration of the implementation of the European Commission’s Action Programme on eLearning.

Keith Baker is professor of computer science and head of the Computer Science Department at the University of Reading. In 1993 he was elected dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Reading and served for two consecutive terms until 1999.
