The Virtual COPERNICUS-CAMPUS was selected in 2004 under Erasmus Virtual Campus. It was funded from 2005-2007. Per the original project description:
- The aim of this project is to develop a European Virtual Campus on Sustainable Development, hosted by COPERNICUS-CAMPUS and based on a consortium of five European universities that are frontrunners in the field of E-learning on/for sustainable development.
