The Tianjin Radio and TV University (TJRTVU) is based in Tianjin Province, China. It was founded in 1958 as 'Tianjin Radio and Correspondence University (TRCU)' -- the first distance leaning institution in China to use radio and correspondence media in education.
TJRTVU consist of one open college, two schools, 22 local branches and 18 study centers, which together form the TVU education network (across 18 districts in Tianjin). TJRTVU uses radio, TV, satellite, internet and video conferencing as learning tools.
