The University of Baltimore (UB) supports online learning through its UBOnline initiative. UBOnline seeks to provide higher education opportunities to nontraditional learners and professionals.

The University of Baltimore was founded in 1925, and is today part of the University System of Maryland. It is located in Baltimore, Maryland, US. Total enrolment is 5,415, of which 2,412 are undergraduates and 1,865 are postgraduates. Average age of undergraduates is 30; postgraduates, 32. There are 159 faculty members.

UBOnline offers three online degrees:

  • webBachelor’s: The webBachelor’s is a complete online undergraduate business degree programme leading to a Bachelor of Science in Business. The degree is a full-time, four-year programme offered by the university’s Merrick School of Business. All currently enrolled undergraduate business students may participate in these online courses.
  • webMBA: Available since 1999, the webMBA was UB’s first complete online degree. The MBA is offered via the University of Baltimore and Towson University, year round. Evening and Saturday classes can be synthesized with online classes.
  • webMPA: The webMPA is a complete online MPA (Master of Public Administration). The degree is designed specifically for working professionals seeking further education.

Online courses are delivered via the WebTycho learning management system. Course communications may be synchronous or asynchronous. A 24-hour Help Desk is available to students.
