Eurydice, in full the Eurydice Network, provides information on and analyses of European education systems and policies. It consists of 35 national units based in all 31 countries participating in the EU's Lifelong Learning programme (EU Member States, EEA countries and Turkey) and is coordinated and managed by the EU Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency in Brussels, which drafts its publications and databases.
Eurydice primarily focuses on the way education in Europe is structured and organised at all levels. It provides a wide range of information, including~
- Detailed descriptions and overviews of national education systems - Eurybase (http://eacea.ec.europa.eu/education/eurydice/eurybase_en.php)
- Comparative thematic studies devoted to specific topics of Community interest (Thematic Studies)
- Indicators and statistics (Key Data Series)
- A series of reference material and tools related to education, such as the European glossary, school calendars and a thesaurus on education systems (Reference Material)
All studies are available free of charge on the Eurydice website - http://eacea.ec.europa.eu/education/eurydice/index_en.php
