Dr ''András Szűcs'' graduated as a bio-engineer in 1980. After ten years of university teaching at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, from 1990 he held international posts as Director of the EU TEMPUS Programme in Hungary (1990-95), then Director of the EU PHARE Central-Eastern European Distance Education Programme (1994-96).
 
In 1997 he became Executive Director of [[EDEN]], and from 2000 he has been Secretary General of EDEN, the European Distance and E-Learning Network. Since his appointment in September 2000, he is also Director of the Centre for Distance and Adult Learning at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (http://www.edu-inno.bme.hu/index.php?p=m&lang=en).
 
Between 2004 and 2010 Dr. Szűcs was a member of the Consultative Committee on Industrial Change in the European Economic and Social Committee.

Dr András Szűcs graduated as a bio-engineer in 1980. After ten years of university teaching at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, from 1990 he held international posts as Director of the EU TEMPUS Programme in Hungary (1990-95), then Director of the EU PHARE Central-Eastern European Distance Education Programme (1994-96).
