Chhattisgarh is a state in central India. It borders Uttar Pradesh to the north, Orissa to the east, Andhra Pradesh to the south, Maharashtra to the west, Madhya Pradesh on the north-west and Jharkhand tot he north-east.
The population of Chhattisgarh is 25.5 million over 27 districts according to the 2011 census. The state capital and largest city is Raipur.
