English for Specific Purposes: Therapeutic Professions (ESP-T) was formed under Erasmus Virtual Campuses in 2007 (134608-LLP-1-2007-1-FI-ERASMUS-EVC). It seeks to bridge the gap between the language needs of therapeutic professionals and the quality of courses offered for therapists at the higher education level.
According to its web site, the overall aim of the project is to contribute to the realisation of a Higher Education Area by creating a Virtual Language Campus for therapeutic professionals so that, in accordance with Bologna process, the following goals are achieved:
- Promoting virtual mobility and e-learning
- Harmonizing of the European higher Education curricula with the view to develop integrated programmes and mutually recognised accreditation system(ECTS) which will also be promoted in non-higher education context
- Assuring quality and attractiveness of the designed materials by promoting a close European cooperation.
The ESP-T web site is at http://www.esp-t.eu/
