Heriot-Watt University originated as the School of Arts of Edinburgh in 1821 and became a University by Royal Charter in 1966.
The institution’s main office is in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. Other campuses are the Scottish Borders Campus in Galashiels in the UK and since March 2006 also the Dubai Campus in Dubai International Academic City (DIAC) in Dubai.
