My full-time involvement in academia started in 1987 in the United States, and since 1990 I have been actively involved with the use of technologies in education. Since 2007, my interests have incorporated international concerns and endeavors. 10 years of my experience has been in K-12 education with the remaining years being associated with higher education. My career capacities have ranged from being an instructor to directing various aspects of teaching and learning with technology to consulting in multiple areas of online and virtual education.

Currently I am a director of research and evaluation at a large public school system in the United States. I am also pursuing a doctorate in education leadership with specialization in instructional systems technology. My interest is in virtual schools and I am presently working on my dissertation which is on the topic of virtual school leadership.
