Gujarat is a state in western India. It borders Rajasthan to the north, Madhya Pradesh to the east, Maharashtra to the south, and the Arabian Sea as well as the Pakistan province of Sindh on the west.
The 2011 census records a population of 60.3 million inhabitants across 26 districts. The state capital is Gandhinagar, and the largest city is Ahmedabad.
