The Idaho Connects Online (ICON - formerly Kaplan Academy of Idaho) is an online public charter school located in the US state of Idaho. It targets students seeking an alternative to public school; all Idaho students may enroll. Founded in 2009, as of 2011 ICON uses curriculum provider ODYSSEYWARE. Content is accessed online from home.
The school had 102 students in 2009-2010.
ICON is governed by the non-profit Idaho Virtual Education Partners (IVEP).
The mission of ICON is to provide middle and high school students with a personalized education alternative that integrates one-to-one support, a robust curriculum, flexible instruction, and innovative technology in an Idaho public charter school.
