The Basehor-Linwood Virtual School (BLVS) is a virtual school programme based within the Basehor-Linwood Unified School District 458, located in the US state of Kansas. Established in 1998, it has 40 certified full-time teachers. It awards diplomas directly. The associated Basehor-Linwood Distance Learning programme offer supplemental courses to students enrolled at local schools.
The goal of BLVS is to provide a quality educational choice to students who, for their own unique and personal reasons need an alternative to traditional schools - e.g. those who are being homeschooled or seeking an alternative education.
There is no age limit for enrolling. The school works with the private partner AllofE.
