Insight Schools is a private US company that operates a network of online high schools. It offers a proprietary curriculum, certified teachers and other services. Insight partners with a local school district per state, which then issues all diplomas upon graduation.
In February 2011, Kaplan Virtual Education - which provides online education for grades six through 12 -bought Insight Schools Inc. from University of Phoenix owner Apollo Group Inc. In May 2011 it was resold to private competitor K12 Inc.
